Tiredness is starting to catch up with me, so no more imaginative titles or deep research for this Friday Fun post. It simply does what it says on the tin: good places to just sit or lie down and read.

As I’m chronically indecisive, it has to be number five although number six looks tempting, too. Hope you have a restful, restorative weekend, Marina.
Number five was the one that sparked this whole post, so an excellent choice!
With snow falling outside my window this morning Marina I’m going for the first one. Looks suitably cosy.
Yes, warmth and cosiness very much needed…
Gorgeous! I would happily plonk myself down in any of those with a book – not fussy!!!!
Good to know that we won’t have to fight you for a favourite place!
What a lovely idea, Marina Sofia – just sit down, rest, and read! Hmm…..the second one from OneDesign appeals to me although I prefer to read alone. But that bed right that and that lovely sofa…. I could have my choice of spots – how appealing! Hope you get some rest this weekend!
You can have that all for yourself, Margot! Read for an hour in each spot…
The window of the last one is beautiful and there’s something very soothing about the symmetry in the one above. lovely thankyou!
Yes, they look very restful, don’t they?
I like a lot of windows, but not houses made of 99% glass. These all look great but I prefer the first one.
Just imagine the cost of heating those glass houses! Done: the first one is yours!
Wrap around bookshelves for me, Marina Sofia, so numbers 1 and 3 – please arrange delivery. 🙂
Those delivery people are going to be kept busy, I assure you!
Love the cosy feeling of the first one – it seems like a place I could hide away.
When I saw the title of your post I had a chuckle “plonk” being a slang word for cheap wine in the UK. So I thought you were inviting us all over for a glass of vino
You are very welcome to bring your own plonk to any of these locations (although a higher-quality wine would also be appreciated).
I shall do my best to rise to the occasion
The red leather chair for me, please, but I would require a matching footstool!
Your wish is my command, milady!
All of them are lovely… But I’d like that first sun room and the last ones for my own!
Lovely! It’s all we bookish types want after all – I’ll take any of them 🙂
It has to be 2 or 5 as I’m a big fan of natural light.
